Jaime Martín master class
Los pasados días 9 y 10 de febrero estuvimos con Jaime Martín, uno de los mejores flautistas del mundo, solista de The academy of Saint Martin-in-the-fields y Catedrático del Royal College de Londres.
Además de realizar diversas Master Class a flautistas de diferentes puntos de España, trabajo con nuestra orquesta diversas nuevas obras de nuestro repertorio.
Su carisma, su fuerte personalidad musical, su enorme experiencia como miembro de algunas de las mejores orquestas actuales, nos hicieron disfrutar de una magnífica clase.
Jaime vive la música con gran intensidad y arrastra con él a los que le escuchan.
Utiliza imagenes y ejemplos muchas veces divertidos y simpáticos, pero en el fondo, en estas bromas se esconden profundos secretos de como entender la música.
Trabajó de una forma excelente con nuestros instrumentistas de cuerda, consiguió extraer de ellos un sonido espectacular, que nos sorprendió y nos animó a seguir buscando los «tesoros escondidos» que todos llevamos dentro.
Tuvimos la suerte de encontrar un gran mago, como él, que supo encontrarlos.

The last Febraury 9th and 10h, we were with Jaime Martín, one of the best flute players of the world, solist of The academy of Saint Martin-in-the-fields and Teacher of the Royal College of London. Besides to make diverse Master Class to flute players of different places from Spain, he worked with our orchestra several new works.
His charisma, his strong musical personality, his enormous experience like member of some of the best present orchestras, made us enjoy a magnificent class. Jaime lives music with great intensity and drags with him whom listen. It uses imagenes and examples often amused and likeable, but, in these jokes, he hides deep secrets of like understanding music.
He worked excellently with our string players, was able to extract of them a spectacular sound, that surprised us and animated to continue looking for the “hidden treasures” that everyone has inside.
We had the luck to find a great magician, like him, who knew to find them.

Ayuda para Kiran. Aid for Kiran.
Kiran Biswa es un Profesor de Guitarra butanés que se encuentra en un campo de refugiados en Nepal desde 1991.
Más de 100.000 personas de etnia nepalesa del sur de Bután llevan años viviendo en campos de refugiados en Nepal.
Están allí desde que les despojaron arbitrariamente de su nacionalidad y las obligaron a huir del país a comienzos de la década de 1990. La situación de estas personas se ha convertido en una de las crisis de refugiados más largas y olvidadas del mundo.
A pesar de la difícil situación en que se encuentra, Kiran, ha decidido dar clases de guitarra a un grupo de 30 jóvenes en su campo de refugiados de forma totalmente altruista.
Su único contacto con el mundo es Internet, para ello ha de andar 8 km en una zona muy peligrosa, y se ha dirigido a muchas organizaciones culturales para pedir ayuda sin éxito.
Se ha puesto en contacto con nosotros solicitando cualquier tipo de material que pueda ser útil para trabajar con sus alumnos: libros de iniciación a la guitarra, partituras, obras para varias guitarras…etc
Desde Ensemble XXI y GuitarInEnsemble.com, vamos a intentar ayudarle.
Para nosotros, Kiran es un héroe, un héroe anónimo, que intenta transmitir, con su guitarra, belleza y paz en un terreno hostil y peligroso, olvidado por el mundo y lejos de su hogar.
La música, el arte, puede convertirse en un motivo para mantener viva la esperanza y la ilusión. Kiran, lo sabe y está haciendo un gran regalo a sus jóvenes alumnos, que estamos seguros que nunca olvidarán.
Desde aquí queremos hacer un llamamiento para ayudar a Kiran.
Podéis enviarle, partituras, material…etc… o simplemente un e-mail (en inglés), para que sienta que no esta sólo, que creemos como él en el poder de la música para sembrar belleza en cualquier lugar y que deseamos que, muy pronto, pueda resolverse su situación.

El libro más misterioso del mundo.The most mysterious book of the world.
Escrito entre los siglos XV y XVI, el Manuscrito de Voynich es considerado el libro más misterioso de la historia de la humanidad, al estar escrito en un código incomprensible que nunca pudo ser descifrado.
En sus páginas pueden verse cientos de esquemas de vegetales inexistentes e ilustraciones de mujeres desnudas, constelaciones y diagramas astronómicos desconocidos.
Es un libro ilustrado con gran belleza que podría representar el trabajo de toda una vida.

Hay muchas teorías misteriosas sobre su contendido, pero lo que más me gusta de esta historia, es la victoria de la mente y la imaginación humana contra las máquinas.
