ESP/ENG Hoy os presento mi interpretación de “Les Barricades Mystérieuses” de François Couperin. La pieza es un ejemplo magistral del style brisé (estilo roto). Aunque Couperin la escribió para clavecín, esta técnica imita la forma de tocar de los laudistas. Crea una atmósfera etérea, con retardos constantes, lo que genera una sensación de tensión y resolución infinita. La partitura está disponible para su descarga gratuita en nuestra sección de obras para guitarra sola. ****** Today I present my performance of François Couperin’s “Les Barricades Mystérieuses” The piece is a masterful example of the style brisé (broken style). Although Couperin wrote it for the harpsichord, this technique imitates the way lutenists play. It creates an ethereal atmosphere with constant suspensions, generating a sense of infinite tension and resolution. The sheet music is available for free download in our solo guitar works section.
ESP/ENG El próximo domingo 7 de junio va a ser un día enormemente especial para mí. Tengo la inmensa fortuna de poder presentar al público mis dos grandes facetas musicales en una misma jornada: compartiendo la magia colectiva desde el podio de dirección por la mañana, y habitando la intimidad de las seis cuerdas en un recital en solitario por la tarde.
Os invito a acompañarme en este doble viaje sonoro a través de la provincia de Huesca. Aquí tenéis todos los detalles de ambas citas:
12:00 h — Con Ensemble XXI en Conchel
«La magia de las baladas y danzas celtas»
Comenzaremos el día al mediodía en la Iglesia de Santa María de la Magdalena de Conchel. Bajo mi dirección, Ensemble XXI ofrecerá un concierto donde fusionamos la vitalidad de las danzas tradicionales con la honda belleza de las baladas más evocadoras.
Será una ocasión muy emotiva en la que interpretaremos, entre otras piezas, mis obras originales «Retratos del Mar» y «Sivana». La entrada es libre hasta completar el aforo, un marco ideal gracias a la organización del Ayuntamiento de Monzón.
18:00 h — Recital Solista en Tamarite de Litera
«Tesoros de la Guitarra Clásica»
Por la tarde, la música se traslada a la imponente Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor de Tamarite de Litera. Allí os espero a solas con mi guitarra para ofreceros el programa «Tesoros de la Guitarra Clásica», una propuesta que busca ir más allá de la música, invitando al oyente a viajar a través de las cuerdas para descubrir la belleza oculta y la poesía de nuestro instrumento.
Tras disfrutar de las tradicionales alfombras del Corpus en la localidad, este concierto en la Colegiata será el broche de oro perfecto para la jornada.
Dirigir y tocar a solo en un mismo día exige una gran entrega, pero la recompensa de compartir estos dos mundos con vosotros es inigualable.
¿Nos vemos en Conchel, en Tamarite… o en ambos? ¡Os espero con los brazos abiertos! ****** Next Sunday, June 7 is going to be a truly special day for me. I am incredibly fortunate to present my two main musical facets to the audience on the very same day: sharing the collective magic from the conducting podium in the morning, and embracing the intimacy of the six strings in a solo recital in the afternoon.

12:00 PM — With Ensemble XXI in Conchel
«The Magic of Celtic Ballads and Dances»
We will start the day at noon at the Church of Santa María de la Magdalena in Conchel. Under my direction, Ensemble XXI will offer a concert that blends the vitality of traditional dances with the deep beauty of the most evocative ballads.
It will be a very moving occasion where we will perform, among other pieces, my original compositions «Retratos del Mar» (Sea Portraits) and «Sivana». Admission is free until full capacity is reached, an ideal setting organized by the Monzón City Council.
6:00 PM — Solo Recital in Tamarite de Litera
«Treasures of the Classical Guitar»
In the afternoon, the music moves to the majestic Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor in Tamarite de Litera. There, I will be waiting for you alone with my guitar to offer the program «Treasures of the Classical Guitar», a performance that aims to go beyond the music, inviting the listener to journey through the strings to discover the hidden beauty and poetry of our instrument.
After enjoying the traditional Corpus Christi carpets in the town, this concert at the Collegiate Church will be the perfect grand finale for the day.
Conducting and playing solo on the same day demands great dedication, but the reward of sharing these two worlds with all of you is unparalleled.

Todavía guardo conmigo las excelentes sensaciones del concierto del pasado viernes en El Grado. Como músico, uno siempre espera encontrar una buena acústica y un público atento, pero en esta ocasión, la experiencia fue mucho más allá.
Me encontré con una sala preciosa, transformada para la ocasión en una auténtica galería de arte. Lo más emocionante fue descubrir que las paredes no estaban vestidas con obras de autores lejanos, sino con creaciones variadas y llenas de talento de los propios vecinos del pueblo.
Tocar rodeado de tanta creatividad local, con la sala llena y sintiendo el respeto y el cariño de la gente, hizo que me sintiera como en casa desde el primer acorde. Es un verdadero lujo cuando la música y el arte de proximidad se encuentran de esta manera, creando una atmósfera de comunidad tan potente.
Muchísimas gracias a todos los que llenasteis la sala y, especialmente, a la organización por el mimo y el detalle con el que prepararon el evento. ¡Fue una noche inolvidable!
I am still carrying the wonderful memories of last Friday’s concert in El Grado. As a musician, one always hopes for good acoustics and an attentive audience, but on this occasion, the experience went much further.
I arrived to find a beautiful venue, transformed for the event into a true art gallery. The most moving part was discovering that the walls were not decorated with works by distant authors, but with a wide variety of talented creations by the local townspeople themselves.
Performing surrounded by so much local creativity, with a full house and feeling the respect and warmth of the audience, made me feel at home from the very first chord. It is a real privilege when music and community-driven art meet in this way, creating such a powerful atmosphere.
A huge thank you to everyone who filled the room and, especially, to the organizers for the care and attention they put into every detail of the event. It was an unforgettable night!
