\nEs un viejo amigo, con \u00e9l compart\u00ed sue\u00f1os y ilusiones de nuestra \u00e9poca de estudiantes en la Konzertclass de Oscar Ghiglia en Basilea (Suiza). Tambi\u00e9n compartimos una visi\u00f3n muy particular de la m\u00fasica y en especial de la interpretaci\u00f3n de la m\u00fasica para guitarra.
\nNuestros caminos se separaron cuando el finaliz\u00f3 sus estudios de Guitarra Cl\u00e1sica y empezo los de instrumentos antiguos con Hopkinson Smith. La fortuna quiso que en un concierto de alumnos le escuchara Jordi Savall, director de las mejores orquestas del mundo de esta materia, y le llam\u00f3 para trabajar en sus proyectos. Desde entonces, Xavier viaja regularmente por todo el mundo, dando conciertos y cursos muy importantes.
\nCon \u00e9l me ocurre una cosa curiosa, aunque estemos mucho tiempo sin hablarnos, cuando nos encontramos parece que el tiempo no ha pasado y volvemos a ser, por un momento, otra vez aquellos j\u00f3venes repletos de ilusiones y proyectos que se ayudaban el uno al otro en momentos de duda e inseguridad.
\nVi\u00e9ndole dirigir mi orquesta pensaba que, afortunadamente, muchos de aquellos sue\u00f1os e ilusiones se han cumplido, mientras la dulce voz de Mar\u00eda Eugenia Boix cantaba una de las m\u00e1s bellas y melanc\u00f3licas melod\u00edas irlandesas : Trop loin d’Irlande. Xavier Diaz-Latorre, one of the best European specialists in ancien plucked string instruments, professor of the High School of Catalonia, was working with our orchestra Ensemble XXI, diverse works for voice of our repertoire.
\nHe is an old friend, with him I shared dreams and illusions of our time of students in the Konzertclass with Oscar Ghiglia in Basel (Swiss).
\nAlso we shared a very particular vision of the music and in special of the interpretation of music for guitar. Our ways separated when it finalized his studies of Classic Guitar and he began those of ancien instruments with Hopkinson Smith. The fortune wanted that in a concert of students Jordi Savall listened to him, director of the best orchestras of the world of this matter, and it called to him to work in his projects. Since then, Xavier travels everywhere regularly, giving to concerts and very important courses.
\nWith him it happens a peculiar thing to me, although we are long time without speaking to us, when we were seems that the time has not happened and we return to be, for a moment, again those young people filled with illusions and projects that helped one to another one at moments of doubt and insecurity.
\nSeeing direct my orchestra him it thought that, luckyly, many of those dreams and illusions have been fulfilled, while the sweet voice of Maria Eugenia Boix sang a most beautiful and melancholic Irish melodies:
