3er. Encuentro Ensemble XXI en Coma-ruga. 3rd Ensemble XXI Stage in Coma-Ruga (Tarragona) (Spain)
Del 25 al 27 de abril estuvimos, de nuevo, en Coma-ruga (Tarragona), con nuestra orquesta Ensemble XXI, trabajando en profundidad, con el excelente maestro y amigo Juan Pérez de Albéniz, cello solista de la Amsterdam Sinfonietta.
From 25 to April 27 were, again, in Coma-ruga (Spain), with our orchestra, Ensemble XXI, working in depth, with Juan Perez de Albéniz , excellent teacher and friend , Amsterdam Sinfonietta Cello Soloist.
Pero, no hubo sólo trabajo… But there was no only work …

Ensemble Khitarodia
He recibido un precioso e-mail de Rafael Leiva, profesor del Conservatorio de Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real), donde me habla del nacimiento del Ensemble Khitarodia.
Según me cuenta, este grupo ha nacido gracias a mis composiciones y arreglos.
Esto me llena de alegría y de ilusión y me anima a seguir trabajando para convencer a otros profesores de añadir otros instrumentos a sus grupos de guitarras.
De nuevo, pienso que mi trabajo vale la pena, y pienso seguir luchando, día a día, por mejorar la calidad de mi música y por darla a conocer a más colegas y amantes de la guitarra.
El me dice que sus alumnos han disfrutado mucho y estoy seguro que Rafael ha de ser un buen profesor que no ha dudado en hacer algo nuevo con sus alumnos que le ha supuesto mucho trabajo y esfuerzo pero…¿puede haber una satisfacción más grande para un profesor que ver felices a sus alumnos descubriendo algo nuevo?

I have received a wonderful e-mail of Rafael Leiva, professor at the Conservatory of Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real) (Spain), he talk me about the Ensemble Khitarodia bhirt’s.
He tells me that this group has been born because my compositions and arrangements.
This fills me with joy and illusion and encourage me to continue working to convince other teachers to add other instruments in their only guitar groups.
Again, I think that my job it is worth, and I will continue fighting, day after day, to improve the quality of my music and make it available to more colleagues and guitar lovers’.
He tells me that his students have enjoyed a lot and I am sure that Rafael must be a good teacher who has not hesitated to do something new with his students that has meant a lot of work and effor but… Can exist a bigger satisfaction for a teacher to see happy his students discovered something new?

Nueva partitura gratis para cuarteto de guitarras.
El lenguaje de las estrellas para Cuarteto de Guitarras.
El universo, siempre me ha fascinado: su inmensidad, su misterio… su lenguaje secreto que los científicos tratan de desentrañar y que a muchos artistas ha servido de inspiración.
El primer movimiento, “Nebulosa”, es una tocatta de rápidos arpegios donde los armónicos (estrellas) tienen un papel importante. Tiene una parte central expresiva donde he experimentado con algunos de los efectos y juegos tímbricos que la magia de la guitarra puede ofrecer. “Venus”, es un dulce y romántico vals de aire impresionista. “Pegaso”, cierra la obra con un brillante y transparente juego entre las diferentes guitarras, que, de forma ágil, dibujan síncopas y rápidas escalas con la base de armonías jazzísticas y ritmos de influencia africana, que simbolizan la pureza y bravura de este mitológico caballo alado.
La obra fue estrenada por el Cuarteto Terpsícore el pasado 28 de enero de 2008 en Barcelona.

The language of the stars for Guitar Quartet
The universe has always fascinated me: its vastness, its mystery … its secret language that scientists are trying to unravel and that has been an inspiration to many artists .
The first movement «Nebula» is a rapid arpeggios tocatta where the harmonics (stars) have an important role. It has an expressive central part where I have experimented with some of the effects and timbrical games that the magic of the guitar can offer. «Venus» is a sweet, romantic, and impressionist waltz. «Pegasus», closes the score with a brilliant and transparent game between the different guitars, wich draw, quick and syncopate scales with jazz harmonies and African influence rhythms to symbolize the purity and bravery of this mythological winged horse»
The work was premiered by the Cuarteto Terpsícore on January 28, 2008 in Barcelona (Spain).
Now you can download the complete score (PDF) and listen to the last movement, «Pegasus», performed by the Cuarteto Terpsícore, totally free in Free guitar quartet scores.

Homenaje a Kiran Biswa. Tribute to Kiran Biswa.
Kiran Biswa, guitarrista refugiado en Nepal, ha recibido un multitudinario homenaje por su comunidad en reconocimiento a su trabajo social en favor de los derechos de los refugiados.
Desde Ensemble XXI le enviamos una pequeña ayuda que Kiran ha sabido aprovechar muy bien para mejorar la salud de su familia, comprarse una guitarra y reparar su choza.
Kiran es una persona generosa que ha dedicado su tiempo a ayudar a los demás y a difundir la guitarra en un territorio hostil.

Kiran Biswa, guitarist refugee in Nepal, has received a tribute for his multitudinous community in recognition of your social work for the refugees’ rights.

Viendo la portada de la prestigiosa revista Classical Guitar, hemos tenido la agradable sorpresa de comprobar que nuestra orquesta es uno de los temas destacados del número del mes de junio.
Classical Guitar es una revista inglesa especializada que tiene 26 años de antiguedad y que cuenta con más de 25.000 suscriptores. Se la considera una de las publicaciones de referencia a nivel mundial.
En el artículo se realiza un repaso de toda la trayectoria de la orquesta y de mi trabajo como compositor y fundador de GuitarInEnsemble.com.
Finaliza afirmando que nuestro proyecto «…es una aportación audaz, original e innovadora… presenta una nueva dimensión y abre nuevos horizontes a los amantes de la Guitarra»

Classical Guitar is a specialized English magazine that has 26 years of antiquity and that it has more than 25,000 subscribers.
It’s considered one of world-wide reference publication about the Guitar.
The article is a review of all the trajectory of our orchestra and my work like composer and founder of GuitarInEnsemble.com.
